Custom Sizing: The Perfect Fit for Your Dog

Tired of buying dog harnesses and clothes that do not fit quite right? With Custom Sizing, you can leave the guesswork behind. We will create your chosen design using your dog's specific measurements.

Because we know that six pounds does not always equal six pounds - at least not in doggie math!

Why We Created Custom Sizing

Angelo, my first Chihuahua, weighed six pounds and fit perfectly into a standard size Small.

Then Bruno, child number four, came along. Bruno also weighs six pounds, but thanks to his Lhasa Apso grandfather, he is long and lean. He is an X-Small around the body, yet most ready-made clothes are not long enough for him.

Just like people, no two dogs have exactly the same body. We also heard from customers who worried about whether a harness or outfit would fit their dog properly.

Because we make our designs one at a time right here in Palm Springs, California, we realized we could make them to fit each dog's individual measurements. And just like that, Custom Sizing was born!

How to Order

If your dog is built like Angelo, check our size chart and order the appropriate standard size.

If your dog is more like Bruno:

1. Choose your favorite design.
2. Select the standard size that corresponds to your dog's chest measurement.
3. Enter all required measurements in the Order Notes at checkout.

How to Measure Your Dog

For harnesses, coats, boys' vests, and ruffled harnesses, we need three precise measurements:

• A. Back Length: Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
• B. Lower Neck: Measure around the lower neck, near the shoulders.
• C. Chest: Measure around the widest part of the chest, a couple of inches behind the front legs.

For dresses, please also provide the following measurement if your dog is a short-legged breed, such as a Dachshund, Corgi, or Shih Tzu:

• D. Rear Height: Measure from the top of the hip to the floor.

The rear-height measurement helps us give the skirt the right amount of fullness without allowing it to hang too low.

Our Fit Commitment

We will make your order according to the measurements you provide. If the finished item does not match those measurements, we will remake it.

When your dog wears Spoiled Dog Designs, we want them to look great, feel comfortable, and stay safe. We also want to take the worry out of ordering. That is what Custom Sizing is all about.

Important Measurement and Adjustment Policy

You are responsible for providing accurate, precise measurements of your pet. We cannot work from approximate measurements or measurement ranges.

• If the finished item does not match the measurements you submitted, we will remake it.
• If the item matches the submitted measurements but does not fit, we can make adjustments of up to 2 inches.
• Adjustments greater than 2 inches will require the purchase of a new item.
